Masterplanning

In A Nutshell

RSPB Titchwell, on the North Norfolk coast, is ambitious. It wants to improve performance and approach to the whole visitor experience to become a premier nature destination. By doing so significantly increase visits and deepen engagement with a much more diverse audience.

This project aimed to approach the challenge with a master planning mindset to ensure the big picture and long-term vision was established from the outset. Over the course of 9 months we worked with the senior management team, staff and volunteers in a co-creative process to uncover the future direction and fundable plans for the nature reserve.

Masterplanning

We carried out a desk study of similar wildlife offers on the North Norfolk Coast. We then worked with the Project Team and wider group of staff and volunteers to develop a clear, unified and shared vision for RSPB Titchwell Marsh across local, regional and national teams.

A great part of our work involved creating co-creative workshops for volunteers and staff on the ground to help create buy-in as the project progressed.

We reviewed the longer term infrastructure requirements to improve visitor flow, visitor experience, business performance and staff and volunteer welfare. At the end of our work they had a clear strategy for the future and a fundable plan.
