Making Live Music Work for Neurodivergent Audiences
Our new research-led review examines the accessibility of the Wild Paths Festival and selected live music venues for neurodivergent audiences.
Drawing on the lived experience of neurodivergent reseracher Sophie Davies and a 480 person audience survey, the report shows that small, low-cost changes to information, signage, wayfinding, sensory design and staff practice can dramatically improve live music for neurodivergent audiences.
We have included a practical framework for festivals, live music venues and cultural organisations who programme live music highlighting how predictability, clear communication and intentional quiet spaces can turn attendance into genuine inclusion.
