A Different View Privacy Policy
The purpose of this document:
This document sets out our privacy policy for the purposes of conducting market research
Who it covers:
All market research participants and survey respondents, and individuals contacted to be invited to take part in market research, irrespective of whether research was subsequently undertaken.
What information we are referring to:
The collection of: Gender, ethnic and geodemographic information for the purpose of profiling information on opinions held by you and actions you may have taken or events you may have participated in. Collection of information on your behaviours and attitudes as requested within the questionnaire or supporting interview for the purposes of gathering insight and monitoring trends. All data we collect and hold that is personally identifiable to you.
Who will see or receive your personal data:
All collected market research data is anonymised. This means it is analysed in a manner that you cannot be personally identified.
Legitimate interest for collection and processing your information:
A Different View is collecting this information for the purposes of market research intelligence to enable us to deliver on our contractual obligations to our client, the BFI. The BFI is seeking to obtain views from customers and the general public to help them to develop their products and services.
Retention Period:
All personally identifiable data collected for the purposes of market research is stored with A Different View or with a third-party data collection and / or processing partner for a maximum period of 6 months, unless requested otherwise by participant. After that period any personal identifiers (such as email addresses, postal address) will be removed from data sets so all remaining information is anonymised.
Our compliance commitment:
Data we hold about you is compliant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 and Data protection act 2018 and Market Research Society (MRS) codes of practice.
Sharing your Personal Data:
The software used for this project is called SNAP and SNAP Ltd is the Joint Controller of data. They hold their own Privacy Policies which are supplementary to your rights outlined in this document and will not replace it. We will provide you with contact details for SNAP at your request.
